"Walk With Me" (16x20 acrylic on canvas, coarse pumice & Swarovski crystals - September 2012)

Inspiration: Memories of Egypt. My trip to Egypt is that of the heart. In the turquoise (some say it is the colour of Egypt) there is coarse pumice representing desert sand. Through the sand walks a kitty. The pads of the paws also have the sand texture and they are in the shape of an upside down heart as they walk up to the bird. The bird wings are shaped like the leaves in my Tree of Love Series. There is a Swarovski crystal (green) in the eye and 3 multi-colour crystals throughout its tail. The heart is painted to run off and wrap around the edge of the canvas and it is completed with a couple of layers of gloss.
